Help from Support Agencies

If you or someone you know is unable to control their gambling, and needs specific counselling or help, there are several agencies that offer support.

Gamblers Anonymous (GA)

Gamblers Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other so that they may solve their common problem and help others do the same in meeting either in person or online

Gordon Moody 

At Gordon Moody has a range of services from residential treatment to online support. They offer special centers focused recovery treatment for compulsive gamblers and other support such as wrap around support for family and friend. 

Gordon Moody also offers the free Gambling Therapy app, which has features like a self-assessment questionnaire, mindfulness and self-help exercises or links to blocking software.

The National Problem Gambling Clinic

The National Problem Gambling Clinic is part of the National Gambling Treatment Service and is jointly commissioned by GambleAware and NHS England. The team assesses the needs of problem gamblers and the psychological support is offered in the form of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic psychotherapy.
