If you or someone you know is unable to control their gambling, and needs specific counselling or help, we strongly advise that you contact one of the following support agencies:

GamCare

For information, advice and counselling for individuals, their families and friends who have concerns about problem gambling. The helpline is available from 8am to midnight daily.

Gamblers Anonymous (GA)

A self-help fellowship of compulsive gamblers wanting to address their gambling problems. Their sister organisation, GamAnon runs support groups for partners and families of compulsive gamblers. Groups are held weekly nationwide.

A hostel providing accommodation, counselling and rehabilitation for compulsive gamblers on a residential basis.

Gambling Therapy offers a global online support service for people who have been adversely affected by gambling. This includes a text based Live Advice Helpline and a wide variety of online groups and forums.

They also provide a useful app offering information on the move about playing responsibly and further details about support agencies. This can be downloaded from the Apple Store or Google Play by searching for “Gambling Therapy”. For more information click here.

A clinical treatment provider based in London, treating problem gamblers from England and Wales. A team of qualified clinicians provides individual or group therapy and the only proven Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) treatment programme for problem gamblers.

Advice and support to help callers deal with their debts in a proactive and informed way. Self-help packs are sent, free of charge, to those who have debt problems.
